Wilson Toneto is IRB Brasil RE’s new Risk and Compliance Executive vice-president

The accountant Wilson Toneto is IRB Brasil RE’s new Risk and Compliance Executive vice-president. The executive was unanimously elected for the position by the company’s Board of Directors, after it decided to dismiss the former vice-president Lúcia Maria da Silva Valle.


“Wilson comes to contribute to our company with his great experience and capacity in the area, aiming at assuring and strengthening the risk management and the compliance practice, setting them as references in national and international markets”, says IRB’s acting CEO, Antônio Cássio dos Santos.

Wilson Toneto was Mapfre’s Administration, Control and Finances vice-president, taking, in 2011, the CEO position at Mapfre Brasil. He also worked as president of Grupo Segurador BB e Mafpre’s Board of Director and member of Grupo Mapfre’s Global Executive Committee, at such moment, withdrawing from Seguradora Líder’s Board, as well as other consultant boards in which he takes part, to take his new position at IRB. He is also member of IBGC (Brazilian Corporate Governance Institute) and has a certification as Experienced Administration Consultant (CCIe), being part of an exclusive group of around 100 professionals in Brazil.

IRB’s Board of Directors also informed it received a document with the decision allowing for the Executive, Finance and Investors Relations vice-president, Werner Süffert, to take office. The executive, who worked at BB Seguridade, was elected for the position on March 04th by the body.
